What is White-Label Production?
White-label production is when an agency sells video editing, VFX, or other creative work to its own clients and a partner studio does the work unbranded, behind the agency's name. The agency keeps the client relationship, the review, and the billing.

The arrangement works because the partner stays invisible to the end client: no credits or bumpers on the files, review cuts sent to the agency rather than the client, and invoices addressed to the agency. Confidentiality is usually set out in an NDA between the agency and the partner.
Agencies use it to absorb volume they cannot staff for, such as a content retainer that outgrows one editor or a burst of VFX shots after a shoot, without carrying a full-time hire through quieter months. Published, per-unit pricing from the partner lets the agency set its own markup against a known cost.
Common questions.
Will my client know a partner did the work?
Not if the arrangement is set up properly: unbranded files, review routed through the agency, and no direct contact between the partner and the client unless the agency asks for it.
How do agencies price white-label work?
Usually as a markup on the partner's price. Partners that publish per-video or per-shot prices make that easier, because the agency knows its cost before it quotes the client.
