The challenge

Before

A regional distributor managing shipments across 8 provinces had no real-time view of where orders were in the supply chain. Status updates were manual — drivers called dispatchers, dispatchers updated a spreadsheet, customers called for ETAs. Lost and delayed shipments were discovered after the fact. Management had no aggregate view of on-time performance, carrier reliability, or warehouse throughput.

  • No real-time shipment tracking — status updates via phone call to dispatcher
  • Manual status log in spreadsheets — always hours behind actual state
  • Customers calling for ETAs with no self-service tracking option
  • Lost and delayed shipments discovered after delivery windows passed
  • No carrier performance data — no basis for routing decisions
  • Management visibility required manual report compilation from 3 teams

The solution

What we built

We built a supply chain visibility platform that aggregates GPS data from carrier vehicles, warehouse scan events, and order management data into a single real-time dashboard. Customers receive a tracking link with live status from pick-up through delivery. Management sees on-time rate, carrier performance, warehouse throughput, and exception alerts — all updated live.
