The challenge

Before

Kargo Tayo was operating 40+ delivery drivers across NCR and Cavite with no purpose-built platform. Jobs were dispatched through Viber group chats, drivers acknowledged via reaction emoji, and proof of delivery was a paper signature sheet submitted at end of shift. Billing was computed manually by the operations team from handwritten trip logs — a process that took two days per billing cycle and produced frequent errors. Customers had no visibility on their delivery until a driver called them. Management had no live view of where any vehicle was at any given time.

  • Job dispatch managed via Viber group chats with no formal assignment tracking
  • No GPS tracking — management had no live view of fleet position
  • Proof of delivery = paper signature sheets submitted at end of shift
  • Billing computed manually from handwritten driver trip logs — 2-day process
  • Frequent billing errors and disputes due to incomplete or illegible logs
  • Customers had no delivery visibility without calling the driver directly
  • No delivery performance analytics — on-time rate, failed deliveries, driver efficiency
  • 3-person dispatch team managing 40+ drivers across two regions

The solution

What we built

We built a mobile app for drivers (React Native, iOS and Android) with GPS tracking, structured job queue management, turn-by-turn navigation handoff, and in-app proof-of-delivery capturing both a delivery photo and an e-signature. The dispatcher web dashboard shows a live fleet map, job assignment tools, and real-time delivery status. Customers receive a tracking link with live updates from job pickup through delivery confirmation. The billing module pulls completed trip data automatically and generates invoices — eliminating the manual end-of-cycle process entirely.
